Camberwell Bmx Track

Looks like the rumours going round are pretty much true. Just in time for the games this summer Southwark council look pretty much set to revamp Burgess Park with a 400 meter BMX track. The regeneration of the park will total around £6m, with £2m set to come from The Mayor’s Office and £4m from the Creation Trust. Camberwell BMX track will have the potential to be the Capitals leading track. All they need now is to get the planning permission (which shouldn’t be problematic as the area which they want to build the track is replacing an existing run down track and a disused play area) and British Cycling’s approval. Fingers crossed it should be ready for the summer.
